Types of Yoga

Tibetan Yoga:  A term and styled used by many Buddhists. Not much is known about this practice in the West and classes may be difficult to find. It consists of meditation and breathing, with the physical practice focusing on a sequence of poses of Tibetan origin called “The Five Rites of Rejuvenation.” Today they are also known as the “The Five Tibetans”.  These five Tibetan Yoga poses are designed to flow in movement, exercising your whole body, while promoting health and energy. Beginning yogis may start with 10-12 repetitions of each, working their way up to the goal of 21 repetitions for the complete routine.
