  • Happy October! Have you checked out our current Fall Schedule! Click Here. There’s something for everyone…
  1. Morning Weekday classes? We now offer plenty! Warm Yoga, YinYasa, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Flow and Surfset Fitness and Yoga. See our schedule for details.
  2. Long day? One more opportunity to get your practice in with our G’nite Flow. Perfect gentle flow before bedtime. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30pm with Kimmy and Natalie.
  3. Lunch Time Yoga? Try our 45 min Kundalini Express at noon on Wednesdays with Jessica.
  4. Sunrise Yoga? Get your practice in before work or school on Fridays at 6am with our Morning Meditation Flow with Sarah.
  5. Half priced yoga? Support our teachers in training on Fridays and Sundays and get your yoga on for just $5!
  6. Yoga for Tweens? Yup! Fridays at 6:30pm with Brittany for ages 9-13. Just $5.
  7. Pre/Postnatal Yoga (infants welcomed!) 6 week series has begun, but drop-in spots are now available for $15. Please email us or call 267-627-4520 to reserve your spot.
  8. Parent-N-Me Yoga (ages 2-5yrs) 6 wk series on Fridays also has some drop-in spots available for $15. Contact us to reserve your spot.
  9. Our Acro CommUNITY Yoga series is off to a great start! If you’d like to drop-in and see what it’s all about, please email us or call to reserve a spot. Cost is $15 per person.
  10. PiYo classes have arrived! Our very own Pilates instructor, Rose, is now certified in PiYo by Beachbody classes. This fusion of Pilates moves and Yoga poses will help you gain strength and flexibility while toning and sculpting. 5 week series starts on Sunday, Oct. 23rd.   •  Full Moon Yoga! Our October Full Moon Yoga class will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16th at the studio in lieu of our Community Class. Please visit the Full Moon Yoga schedule on our Website for details. Proceeds will benefit Matter of Trust.
  • October Workshops! We have two this month plus a FREE Class…
  1. Kid’s Yoga Workshop with Sarah is happening on Sunday, Oct. 16th. Yoga is a great way to ensure young ones maintain flexibility. It’s also been shown to improve focus and concentration, sleep, and even athletic ability. Drop your little one(s) off, ages 5-10 yrs, for 9o minutes of yoga fun. We’ll go over poses appropriate for kids, discuss the importance of strength and flexibility, play games and even enjoy a light snack. Cost is $15 per child.   2. Surfset Fitness and Yoga with Ashley is happening on Sunday, Oct. 30th. Stand on the Rip Surfer X as seen on the hit show Shark Tank! You’ll maximize calories burned, strengthen your core and balance, create lean muscle, and prevent injury…all while having a great time! Cost is $25 per person.   3. Free Class: “What you need to know about Essential Oils for Pets!” Saturday, Oct. 22nd at 11:30am. For more info and to RSVP: Click Here.
  • Class Card FLASH SALE! Our 10 class cards (does not include hot yoga) are still on sale. Get 10 classes for just $70 until we sell out. Our new online registration software will be launching this month! Thank you for your patience and support during this transition.
  • Yoga with a Twist! We know you’ve been asking….promise it’s coming soon! It’s been a little busy around the studio but a date for our Fall “Yoga with a Bottle-Yoga with a Twist” will be determined very soon, so stay tuned for details.
  • Fall Drive! Reminder that we our collecting items to benefit the Montgomery County SPCA. Look for a box in the lobby where you can place donations. Some of the items they are looking for include: towels, blankets, sheets, comforters, unopened bags of dog and cat food, canned dog and cat food, cat litter & litter boxes, etc. Our SPCA Fall drive will run through October. Thank you for your support!
  • Holiday Bhakti Retreat! We have extended our retreat deadline. Sign-ups are due by Oct. 15th. Only 5 spots left, so act now! Visit our Yoga Retreat page for info and registration or email us at twistedmonkeyyoga@gmail.com.
  • Lost and Found! If you have left behind a water bottle, yoga mat or other personal item, please make sure to check the yoga studio. Items not claimed by the end of each month will be recycled. The lost and found is located in the hot yoga ladies’ changing room or see an instructor. Thank you.

  • Happy August! Can it really be the last full moth of Summer already?! Hope you all enjoy the final few weeks before the rush of back-to-school and Fall activities begins. Please note that we will be closed on Monday, September 5th for Labor Day. Our Summer schedule is going strong and will run through most of Sept. Look out for some new classes (and old favorites) in our Fall Schedule starting the week of Sept. 18th! Most current schedule can be found online: Click Here. Here’s a sneak peek…
  • Yoga in the Park! Due to the hot Summer temps, yoga at Rockledge Park on Saturdays will be moving up to 9am beginning Aug. 6th. Classes will run through the rest of Summer and a final date will be announced in Sept. We are happy to share that we raised close to $300 in July for oneorlando.org! This month’s donations will benefit PAWS. Thank you to all who have supported us so far!
  • Full Moon Yoga! Our August Full Moon Yoga class will take place on Thursday, August 18th at 8:30pm at Rockledge Park. (If inclement weather, class will be held at the studio.) If you haven’t checked out our new Full Moon Yoga Schedule, please visit our website. Proceeds will benefit Matter of Trust.
  • Playing with Gravity! Join us on Saturday, Aug. 27th for a 2 hour workshop with Kimmy & Rob focused on Partner PLAY! Grab a friend or sign up solo to explore how gravity plays a huge part in yoga itself, and how that translates into our bodies. Come to get grounded with gravity and learn through Play!   • Class Cards! Please note that we are no longer selling the regular 5 class cards for $40. However, you may still purchase 10 classes for $80 until the end of Summer. While punch cards will no longer be sold after September, they will still be accepted until the end of the year. This Fall we will introduce new discount packages and class registration available through our website. We will still continue to accept cash payments in the studio. Thank you for your patience and support during this transition.
  • Fall Classes and 108 Yoga Malas! To kick of Autumn, join us on Thursday Sept. 22nd (the Fall Equinox!) at 7:15pm, as we once again attempt (and succeed!) to get through 108 sun salutations. After our successful Summer Solstice 108 sun salutation celebration in June, we are now happy to offer these Yoga Malas every season! More information can be found on our 108 Yoga Mala page. This event will also kick off our new Fall Schedule which will include: Surfset, Kettle Yoga, Warm Yoga, Lunch Hour Yoga, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Kids’ Yoga, Tween Yoga, Meditation Flow, and lots more! See our schedule for more information: Click Here.
  • Save the date! Registration for The Twisted Monkey’s inaugural Yoga Retreat is now open. Spots are limited and going fast! For those who would like more information, we will be offering a Retreat Information meeting on Monday, Aug. 29th at 8:30pm. We will discuss the itinerary for the 3 day weekend and answer any questions you may have. Those already registered are encouraged to attend too. The meeting should take no more than 30 min.   • Yoga in the Park! Join us at Rockledge Park on Saturdays at 10am all Summer long. This is a donation-based class with a $5-$10 suggested minimum cash drop-in. (Class Cards may not be used.) Street parking and entrance are on Rockledge Ave. (corner of Robbins Ave.) Stop at the gazebo to check-in. Please bring your own yoga mat and water. All Levels welcomed. This month’s donations will benefit oneorlando.org. Thank you to all who have joined us so far!

  • Surfset Fitness & Yoga! Registration for our Surfset series is now closed, but we have a few spots available for drop-ins. Please contact us at least 24 hrs. in advance at twistedmonkeyyoga@gmail.com to inquire and reserve your spot. Classes run through July on Thursdays at 9:45am.   • Seasonal Sun Salutes! Thank you to all who came out to our Summer Solstice, Full Moon, and International Yoga Day Celebration. It was a magical night. Congrats to all those who completed the full 108 Sun Salutations and a big THANK YOU to all those who donated to oneorlando.org. We raised almost $150! Stay tuned for the Fall Equinox as we hope to host an 108 Sun Salutation Yoga Mala for every season. Details coming soon.
  • Full Moon Yoga! We will also be hosting special Full Moon Yoga evening classes once a month. The next Full Moon is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 19th. Stay tuned for details on our website.
  • SAVE THE DATE! Registration for The Twisted Monkey’s inaugural Yoga Retreat opens up soon. Join us this Fall on November 18th -20th for a 3 day weekend at the Himalayan Institute, located just 2 and 1/2 hours away. Details coming soon!

Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted — in body, mind, and heart — and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves. Our lives begin to flow — or we begin to flow more in our lives.

  • Hard to believe September is here! There is lots going on at The Twisted Monkey this month. Make sure to check out our Fall Class Schedule and Workshops & Events page for all the latest. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come….
  • Yoga in the Park with Kimmy on Wednesdays at Rockledge Park has a new time of 6:30am beginning Sept. 2nd. Join us for an early morning practice and get your day off to a perfect start. Classes will continue in the Fall as long as weather permits. See our Workshops & Events page for more details.
  • Lunar Yoga in the Park – Sunday, September 27th at 6:30pm at Rocklege Park. (Enter at Robbins Ave and Rockledge Ave intersection.) For those of you that made it out to our Blue Moon Yoga in the Park in July, you know what a special and rare experience it is. Well, the month of September brings us a Total Lunar Eclipse! This is the second and last one for the year, and the final of a 4 total lunar eclipse series. Help us welcome this phenomenon with a magical night of yoga under the stars. The class will include 75 minutes of lunar yoga, meditation, and a traditional smudge blessing. Bring your mat, some water and an open heart. $20 per adult.
  • Kettle Yoga with Kimmy – 6 week series! Ready to take it up a notch? Join us on Wednesdays at 5:45pm from Sept. 23rd – Oct.28th for this new and unique 60 min yoga practice which incorporates Kettlebells for extra strength training and toning. We’ll start with conditioning and learn proper technique for handling Kettlebells of varying weights for an intense and invigorating practice. Due to the limited number of Kettle Bells, you must pre-register for this class. Please visit our Workshops & Events page for info and registration.
  • Surfset Yoga & Fitness with Ashley – 3 weeks sessions of surf-inspired SUP yoga and fitness classes are here! Improve your balance, strengthen your core and your practice, build lean muscle and burn up to 900 calories in one hour!  Due to the limited number of boards, pre-registration is required. Details and sign-ups are now available on our website. Please visit our Workshops & Events page for info and registration.
  • Tai Chi class with Shihan Lynn Montana is coming to Fridays at 7pm beginning Sept. 11th. Cost is $10 (cash only). Class cards may not be used. Please see our Class Schedule for more details. Her Reiki Healing Circle will be back on the 11th as well with a new time of 8pm. This class is donation-based with a suggestion of $5-$10.
  • 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. We are now accepting applications for our next training session. Sign up before Nov. 1st and receive a $200 early bird discount! Training begins Dec. 6th. Whether you are looking to deepen your practice or start a new career, The Twisted Monkey Yoga Alliance approved program will give you the confidence and inspiration you need.   • It’s the last full of month of Summer! Just a reminder that our schedule will be changing after Labor Day. See our website for class changes and cancellations.
  • Thank you to all who came out to our first Blue Moon Yoga night. The night was more successful than we could have imagined! Proceeds of the night will go toward a memorial fund in honor of the instructor’s brother who recently passed away. Thank you again for your support and look out for more evenings in the park in the future!
  • Yoga in the Park with Kimmy – Wednesdays at 7am, starting August 5th at Rockledge Park (Enter at Robbins Ave and Rockledge Ave intersection). Come get an early morning workout in at the park and a sneak peak at the newest class coming to The Twisted Monkey this Fall! Kettle Yoga incorporates Kettle Bells into our yoga practice, creating a fusion that will help you develop extra strength and toning. The class will be 75 minutes long and will run every Wednesday until and when weather permits. This is a BYOB (Bring your own Bell…or weights) class. If you do not own either, you are still welcomed to come check it out and enjoy a yoga practice. This is a donation-based class, meaning pay what you can with a suggestion of $10 and a minimum of $5. Your contributions will help purchase new Kettle Bells for our studio so we can bring you indoor Kettle Yoga this Fall/Winter!
  • Surfset Yoga & Fitness with Ashley –This Fall we will be offering 3 week sessions of surf-inspired, SUP yoga and fitness classes. Improve your balance, strengthen your core and your practice, build lean muscle and burn up to 900 calories in one hour!  Due to the limited number of boards, pre-registration is required. Details and sign-ups will be available on our website soon! If you are interested in getting certified as a Surfset Fitness Trainer, we will be hosting a training workshop at The Twisted Monkey on Sunday, August 30th, 11am-7pm.   • We are now accepting applications for our next Yoga Teacher Training program! Training begins Dec. 6th. Whether you are looking to deepen your practice or start a new career, our 200 hour teacher training give you the confidence and inspiration needed.
